On the bright side of things, coronavirus helped to identify hidden weak spots and pitfalls that otherwise might be ignored for another decade. Vendor’s Shopify Integration is now available with Omnyfy https://omnyfy.com/vendors-shopify-integration-is-now-available-with-omnyfy/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=vendors-shopify-integration-is-now-available-with-omnyfy Thu, 04 Feb 2021 12:43:38 +0000 https://omnyfy.com/?p=1104 One of the main challenges for a new marketplace is to attract new vendors. Even having connections with the vendors and sellers may not help with the seller acquisition if the on-boarding and order management processes are not smooth. Often sellers opt out of joining a marketplace just because it may require time and effort to manage one additional sales channel. Setting up the storefront, uploading all products, manage orders – this may become a time-consuming venture and therefore a barrier for joining.

To ensure your sellers’ journey is seamless, Omnyfy has built in a Fuse module enabling vendors’ Shopify integration.

Connecting the existing vendor’s Shopify Store directly to the marketplace, Fuse enables in-bound sync for Product, Pricing, Inventory, Images, Categories and Product Attributes. Now there is no need to re-publish thousands of products – simply connect your Shopify store, provide the mapping details for Attributes and Categories and sync.

When a new order is placed, the sale and order fulfilment is sent back to the vendor’s Shopify store, allowing for a real-time inventory update. Once orders are packed and dispatched via Omnyfy, the fulfilment status is also updated in Shopify. This creates a smooth vendor experience improving your chances to secure more sellers to join your marketplace platform.

Benefits of the module

  • Fast vendor onboarding process
  • Seamless order management and fulfilment
  • In-bound Sync for Product, Pricing, Inventory, Images, Categories and Product Attributes
  • Out-bound Sync of orders
  • Real-time inventory and prices update

Request for Quote enhanced with shipping and incoterms support https://omnyfy.com/request-for-quote-enhanced-with-shipping-and-incoterms-support/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=request-for-quote-enhanced-with-shipping-and-incoterms-support Wed, 26 Feb 2020 11:07:00 +0000 https://omnyfy.com/?p=745 Incoterms are commonly used terms of sale, especially in international shipments. There are 11 internationally recognised Incoterms which define the responsibility of the the seller and buyer, specifically with relation to payments incurred for shipments as well as the ownership of the stock in trade.

Rather than explaining the Incoterms and what it means for global marketplaces, here’s an article from Trade.gov which does a great job in explaining the details.

Omnyfy has implemented Incoterms in our RFQ module to support global marketplaces enabling Vendors who respond to RFQ requests to now select the Incoterm relating to the quote, and also to set a fixed shipping price for the quote, which is treated separately to the cost of the products in the quote.

Benefits of this feature

  • Vendors can now set a fixed shipping price for the Quote
  • Vendors can set the Incoterm specific to their Quote
  • Customers view and pay for the shipments as a separate line item
  • The Shipping Fee is treated different in Marketplace Commercials Management and can now be transferred to the Vendor or withheld by the Marketplace Owner, depending on who is fulfilling the shipment.
  • Enables Marketplace Owners to run marketplaces where they provide fulfilment services to their Vendors.

Omnyfy available with Stripe Connect for marketplace payments https://omnyfy.com/end-to-end-marketplace-payments-management-with-stripe/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=end-to-end-marketplace-payments-management-with-stripe Tue, 21 Jan 2020 07:30:00 +0000 https://omnyfy.com/?p=760 Omnyfy is very excited to start off 2020 with the launch of our new Stripe integration. We’ve packed everything you need to run a global marketplace into this one solution from payments from customers, to vendor onboarding and KYC and vendor payouts – it’s all here.

Over the past couple of months we’ve been hard at work bringing a global marketplace payments solution to Omnyfy. The Stripe marketplace solution combines the following features, enabling us to launch a marketplace in a couple of weeks, without the hassle of lengthy payments registration and gateway provisioning processes.

Stripe Integration Features

Customer payments

Omnyfy’s Stripe integration supports virtually all payment methods also supported by Stripe for your country. Credit Cards, Alipay, WeChat, Apple Pay – whatever Stripe supports in your country, we now support.

Once customer’s make a payment, the funds settle into the Marketplace Owner’s Stripe Balance from which our connection with Stripe Connect then enable payouts to your Vendors.

Payout Management

Omnyfy supports payout directly from our marketplace back-end. You do not need to log in to your Stripe account to make a payout to your Vendors.

Simple go to Pending Payouts, select the Vendor or Vendor’s you want to payout and click on Process Payouts. We take care of the rest. Omnyfy automatically calculates the funds to be disbursed, deducting any applicable fees and commissions to be retained by the Marketplace, and immediately transfers the rest of the funds to your Vendor’s account on Stripe, from where they can then draw it down to their connected bank account.

Vendor Onboarding and KYC

In order to align with global KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws, Omnyfy’s Stripe integration also enables marketplace owners to pass-on this critical business administration task to Stripe. Stripe’s sophisticated KYC analysis determines the exact information required from your Vendors in order to allow them to receive payments via the marketplace.

Omnyfy has integrated the KYC and registration process directly into the Vendor Portal, allowing your Vendors to easily register for their connected Stripe account and to add their banking information all in one simple process.

Once Vendor’s have been registered, they are ready to receive payments through Omnyfy’s integrated Payout Management.

Supported Currencies

Please note that you will need to check Stripe carefully to confirm the currencies in which you can settle in for your local bank accounts. Although both Omnyfy and Stripe support hundreds of currencies, there is a distinction between the currency that Stripe can accept vs. the Settlement Currency.

Note that the currency in which you receive funds from Stripe depends on the country in which your business is registered. For example, in Australia, you can only settle in AUD. In Canada, you can settle in both CAD and USD, and in the UK, you can receive funds in multiple currencies.

It’s important to note that you can only have one bank account attached to each Settlement Currency, therefore if you want to maintain multiple currencies, you will need a bank account associated with each.

In all other cases, Stripe will automatically convert the currency into your Settlement Currency (example in Australia, all currencies are converted into AUD.)

How to create a subscription product or service based marketplace? https://omnyfy.com/how-to-create-a-subscription-product-or-service-marketplace/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-create-a-subscription-product-or-service-marketplace Fri, 17 Jan 2020 15:51:01 +0000 http://omnyfy.com/?p=222 One of the key metrics in measuring the efficacy of an online marketplace is AOV (Average Order Value). The AOV is the total sales divided by the number of transactions – or the average basket size of a customer. The total basket size and recurring purchase frequency of your customers are critical to driving up your AOV. So how can you do both in one go – that is, increase the number of recurring purchases that a customer makes without resulting in dropoff, while also creating consistent sales flow for your marketplace vendors?

A very effective method of capturing and retaining marketplace sales is by offering your customers to create a “Subscription” or a “Recurring Purchase” for products or services that they require at regular intervals or those that require restocking. Subscription models are used extensively for services, but more and more, the subscription business model is being applied to product purchases as well.

Subscription services such as Dollar Shave Club , and Quip allow customers to subscribe and receive regular monthly packs of top-up shaving material or toothbrush heads and paste. Meundies famously transformed the dull-task of purchasing new underwear into a subscription business. There are over 2000 subscription box services which has sprouted review sites such as My Subscription Addiction which are dedicated to reviewing subscription services. This model is now proven in single-brand eCommerce businesses. However as we know, a marketplace is much more than a one-off eCommerce business.

So how do you take this concept and apply it to your next Marketplace idea. Well, you need the ability to do the following:

  • As a marketplace owner you need the ability to support recurring purchases for products and services, so that your vendors can create offerings where customers can subscribe and receive regular deliveries of products or services
  • The marketplace platform must support the ability for your vendors to customise the subscription or recurring purchase component to their needs and their customers purchase cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly or specific intervals)
  • The marketplace must be integrated with a payments system that supports vaulted payments so that they stored payment information can be used to process the purchases
  • Your vendors need the ability to track subscriptions and view orders placed under a specific subscription
  • The marketplace platform must support the ability to monitor purchases, failed billings and suspend subscriptions if the billing attempts fail a certain number of times
  • Your customers require the ability to manage their subscriptions and cancel their subscriptions if required
  • Customers need to be able to view orders placed under a subscription

Omnyfy Marketplace has done the thinking for you and has developed a fully integrated Recurring Purchase Module that is available as an add-on for the Omnyfy Marketplace Multi-vendor Marketplace Platform. Learn more about this module’s capabilities and be inspired to create a subscription based marketplace.
